Honda uses a 2 stage filter, the first stage is called the pre-filter and is a foam case, then inside is a metal frame with screen that serves as the second stage. We are just selling the pre-filter only, our filter needs to be used with the metal frame from the original air filter and that it is a pre-filter only. so when you select the size you need to be aware we are not selling a complete 2 stage filter. when you measure you would measure the clamp point on the metal frame and not the out put flange going to the engine.

Air Filter helps eliminate contaminating of dirt, dust and debris from the carburetor and engine. It provides excellent protection against ingested dirt, improves airflow and prolongs engine life by providing clean filtered air while running.
A dirty air filter can cause the engine from not operating properly. The air filter should be checked if the engine drops in power. We recommend replacing your filters every 3 month for best performance .
