This 6 piece carving chisel set is made by a small and highly respected tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The set contains 6 tools: straight skew 3/8 wide, 2 straight gouges 7/8 and 3/8 wide, straight single bevel 7/16 wide, V tool- wide and veining tool 3/16 wide. Blades are made from highly allowed Cr-Mn steel and heat treated to HRc 55. Chisel handles are European Beech with an octagonal cross section. Blades are all 3 1/2" long and handles are 4" long by 5/8? wide. As with all fine carving tools, these will need final sharpening/honing to fully refine the edges before use. This chisel set is an excellent value for good quality tools and will make an excellent starter set or addition to an existing set.
