-Today we are perhaps the only remaining manufacturer of genuinely hand-made shaving brushes within Great Britain and the British Isles. Our extensive range of products in a large variety of styles & materials make Simpson the number one choice when selecting your next brush.

A classic Simpsons brush, 90mm tall and filled to a good density with Simpsons best badger, this is an excellent and reasonably priced offering from a top manufacturer. The smaller size and slight stiffness of the loft makes this particularly suited to shaving soaps. Simpsons were founded in 1919 by Alexander Simpson, and originally made brushes in the East End of London. The business and its reputation rapidly grew, and in 1924 Simpsons relocated to Clapham. The factory was unfortunately destroyed by German bombing in 1941, at which point they relocated a second time to the West Country. In 2008 Simpsons brushes were acquired by the more recently founded but no less well regarded brush maker, Progress Vulfix, who have continued the tradition of entirely handmade brushes using the traditional techniques. Handmade in England
