Dakota Alert M538-HT MURS Wireless VHF Transceiver

The Dakota Alert M538-HT MURS offers convenient wireless communication in your home and business. MURS or Multi-Use Radio Service is a type of service created by the US Federal Communications Commission. This low-power, short-range service operates in 150 MHz Very High Frequency (VHF). Most two-way radios use MURS as it doesn't need an FCC license.

The handheld M538-HT radio operates as a transceiver. It can receive alert messages from the MURS Alert Transmitter (MAT). At the same time, the unit can transmit signals to another M538-HT radio or an M538-BS Base Station. The M538-HT transceiver operates on five channels with 38 private sub-channels. On the transceiver's LCD screen, you can find the Lock Icon. This special feature prevents other users from changing channels or other features in the system.

You can use the M538-HT transceiver when communicating with hotel staff or warehouse employees. The radio unit runs on 6 AA Batteries (not included) and operates for up to 2 miles.
